Big Reward
Once a hungry wolf was cramming his prey down. By chance a bone stuck in his throat. He was feeling very uneasy. He tried his best to get rid of the bone. But all in vain. He was distraught. At least, he wanted a crane and requested him to help him remove the bone. The wolf also promised to give him a big reward for this favor. At this, the crane agreed to help him. The wolf felt relief and he thanked the crane very much. The crane demanded a reward for his service The wolf, at once, said, "Is it not a big reward that I have not bitten off your head when it was easy for me to do so?" Hearing this the crane ran away disappointedly.
