The Lion, the Donkey, and the Clever Fox
❌
Once upon a time, in a deep jungle, a lion, a donkey, and a fox set off on an adventure to find food. The lion, being the king, walked proudly, the donkey hummed happily, and the fox, as always, stayed alert and cautious.
After walking for hours, they discovered a cave filled with delicious food—fruits, vegetables, and even some meat. The lion roared in delight, the donkey brayed excitedly, and the fox grinned. However, there was a problem: How would they divide the food fairly?
The lion, wanting to test their wisdom, turned to the donkey. “Dear donkey, you are known for your patience. Why don’t you divide the food among us?”
The donkey, proud of his fairness, carefully made three equal portions. “I have divided it fairly. Each of us gets the same amount.”
The lion’s face darkened. “How dare you compare yourself to me! I am the king!” With one powerful swipe, he knocked the donkey out cold.
Turning to the fox, the lion said, “Now, wise fox, you try.”
The fox, learning from the donkey’s mistake, quickly gathered most of the food into one large pile and left a tiny portion aside. “Your Majesty,” the fox said with a bow, “this large portion is yours, as you deserve the most. The small one is mine.”
The lion nodded approvingly. “Very wise, Fox! But tell me, who taught you to be so clever?”
The fox smirked. “The donkey, Your Majesty.”
MORAL: Wisdom comes from observing the mistakes of others.
