The Bear and Bear Child

The Bear and Bear Child

Deep in the heart of a vast forest, a mother bear and her cub lived peacefully. The mother bear was strong and wise, teaching her child the ways of the wild—how to find food, climb trees, and sense danger.

One day, the cub saw a group of deer running gracefully and wished to be like them. “Mother, I want to run as fast as the deer,” he said.

The mother bear smiled. “You are not a deer, my child. You are a bear, and bears have their own strengths.”

The cub, however, was not convinced. He spent days trying to run like the deer but always lagged behind. Frustrated, he saw an eagle soaring in the sky. “Mother, I want to fly like the eagle,” he declared.

The mother bear chuckled. “You were not made to fly, my child, but that does not mean you are weak.”

The cub, still unconvinced, kept trying to copy other animals but failed every time. One day, a fierce storm hit the forest. Trees fell, rivers swelled, and the deer ran in fear while the birds struggled against the wind.

The cub clung to his mother, frightened. The mother bear stood firm, using her strength to protect him. When the storm passed, the cub realized something important.

“Mother, I understand now. I may not run like a deer or fly like an eagle, but I am a bear. I am strong and fearless.”

The mother bear smiled proudly. “Yes, my child. Always embrace who you are, for your strength lies within you.”

MORAL: Do not wish to be someone else; embrace your own strengths and shine in your own way.
